Massage Treatments
Traditional Thai
Traditional Thai Massage, also known as Thai Yoga Therapy, is a centuries-old therapeutic technique with origins in Buddhist tradition. It is now one of the most popular massage techniques in the world.Thai massage is based on the principle that many physical and emotional problems are caused by the blocking of vital energy channels within the body; very similar to the theory behind acupressure. Our therapist uses their hands, feet, knees and elbows, to exert pressure on these channels, whilst pulling and pushing limbs into yoga-like stretches. This is what essentially distinguishes the Thai style of massage from other forms of massage, which are usually associated with muscle manipulation. After a massage treatment, people usually emerge feeling energized. It is also believed that regular treatment can have longer-term benefits, such as improved circulation and detoxification.
